PUSH Week WOD 4: DT HERO
A special wod for Thursday - DT brings us a heavy barbell complex of deadlifts, hang power cleans, and shoulder to overheads. It is also one of our in-gym leaderboard workouts, and just like Fran, has been done 100s of thousands of times by CrossFitters around the globe.
DT is a Crossfit "Hero" workout - which means it was designed in memory of a fallen soldier. This particular workout was named for USAF SSgt Timothy P. Davis, 28, who was killed on Feburary, 20 2009 supporting operations in OEF when his vehicle was struck by an IED. Timothy is survived by his wife Megan and one-year old son T.J.
It is meant to be tough, and as you can see by the video below, these three movements are pretty taxing when put together. Multiple time CrossFit Games athlete Annie Thorisdottir takes on the DT workout at the MENs Rx weight, and shows what an impressive athlete she is!
