This coming Saturday, several intrepid Vic City athletes will be taking part in the Peninsula CrossFit Van Isle Throwdown! It is a one day event featuring mixed pairs, and the events are fast paced and well balanced.
It's been a while since we've had a local competition like this and honestly I think things like this are the backbone of CrossFit... getting together with your buddies to put your fitness on the line and have a great time is what these types of events are all about.
Vic City athletes Oscar, Josh, Austin, Chris, Kiel, Allie, Jaclyn, Carly and Sam are all on teams in a couple divisions. If you're free on Saturday, the event runs from 9am to approximately 5pm and stick around for a few minutes and you're bound to see some Vic City teams in action.
Parking in and around the actual gym is a bit congested, so look for street parking within walking distance. The event is all at Peninsula CrossFit, located in the West Sidney Business park:

Strength: Front Squat Wave Load 6-4-2-6-4-2 E2M
WOD: E4m combos
Aim for a work time of 2 -2:30 max. Snatches should be heavier singles
Every 4 mins for 20 mins do:
3 Power Snatches, 115/75 lbs
6 Strict Pull-ups
9 Lateral Burpee Over Bars
36 Double Unders
