Competition Season
Hey Vic City,
Over the next couple of weeks you will be getting a steady dose of CrossFit competition. It all kicks off this Friday in Coquitlam, for the Can West Games. This competition has many different divisions from intermediate teams, elite teams, masters, teens, and elite men, and elite women. All-in-all, there will be a few hundred athletes competing at the Percy Perry Stadium over the course of this weekend.
CrossFit Vic City will have representation in many of the divisions so don't be afraid to browse the leaderboard throughout the weekend.
Only a few short days after our local athletes compete, the top athletes in the CrossFit world take centre stage in Madison, Wisconsin. The 2018 Reebok CrossFit Games begin August 1st. The Reebok CrossFit Games will run from August 1st to 5th, and will likely take on a dozen or more scored events. Many of the events are unknown at this point, but in the past a few get released beforehand, with the majority being revealed throughout the weekend. Stay up to date on the workouts here.
The leaderboard will be updated after each of the events, and can be found on the main games leaderboard page.
If you haven't already set up your 2018 Pick'em challenge, go back a few blog posts and get set-up, it only takes 5 or so minutes and you have a chance to win $2,000,000.
If you can't wait any longer and need to get a bit more CrossFit in your life, check out the preview show to get you up to speed.
The big competitions (local and international) for the year are coming to a close, so enjoy it while it lasts.
